The current Covid restrictions will remain in place until April 12 or 19, the PM’s Office head Gergely Gulyás said yesterday, as Hungary’s coronavirus death toll hit a new record high of 272.
This morning Orbán noted that the government planned to limit the number of customers in shops from the weekend, and may possibly keep shops open longer in the evening.
Earlier this week the Hungarian Medical Chamber warned people to limit shopping to once a week, and to avoid public transport, stating "intensive care units are under a multiple overload”.
