Jávor May Leave Top LMP Post In Hungary
LMP caucus leader Benedek Jávor is thinking about leaving his post in a month when the caucus elects new officials, he told Népszabadság during an interview. He said the caucus and the party are increasingly successful, so there is no external reason for him not to continue, but there are other personal considerations.

The LMP does not consider it necessary to apologise to former prime minister Ferenc Gyurcsány after prosecutors dropped proceedings against him initiated by LMP in the Sukoró case. Their suspicion was well-founded and Gyurcsány bears political responsibility for the affair, Javor argued.

In connection with the cabinet, he said Fidesz took power with a promise to end the corruption of the previous era, but has instead institutionalised corruption.

As for relations with the Socialists, Jávor said changes in that party have been positive but it remains to be seen how deep those changes will be.

He added that LMP is preparing to form some kind of an alliance with Solidarity, the Fourth Republic and Facebook group Milla.
