Spring Begins with Two Special Concerts at Fono Budapest
Spring will start with two unique concerts at the Fonó Buda Music Hall: NAVIA Project will take the stage on March 7th, and János Csík and Mezzo will take the stage on March 8th.

The NAVIA Project draws inspiration from the sound of birds. The concert will feature the poetry of László Nagy and Attila József, in connection with the anniversaries of 2025 (László Nagy was born 100 years ago, and Attila József was born 120 years ago).

The artists will use the diverse tools of the contemporary-classical music world to shed new light on the original beauty of folk songs, guiding the audience from the Carpathian Basin to Bulgaria.

The performance will be accompanied by sand drawings made on site by Sz. Mária Nagy.

The concert will feature Andrea Navratil (vocals, prose), Zsuzsanna Grósz (piano), Péter Bede (wind instruments), Gyula Lázár (bass), Csaba Gyulai (percussion instruments, gadulka).

In the fresh, energetic performance of Mezzo, led by János Csík, jazz melodies are played together with Hungarian folk music.

The performers are János Csík (violin, vocals), János Mészáros (viola, trumpet), Zsolt Németh (guitar, percussion), Zoltán Hanusz (bass), László Vadas (zither, tango harmonica), and Krisztián Magi (piano).

Both concerts are supported by the NKA Recording Program.
