European Stand-Up Festival in Budapest, 11 - 13 September
For the first time, standup acts from across the continent are heading to Hungary this September, with comedians from across Europe coming together for three days of live performances, competitions and audience-voted shows.

The festival will feature around 90 comedians from across Europe, offering you the chance to discover performers from a wide range of countries, backgrounds and comedy styles.

The programme gets underway on Friday, September 11, with a 'selection round' beginning at 5pm. Two shows will run simultaneously, at Bunkert on Mozsár utca and Joe's Rooftop on Dohány utca.

Rather than just watching the performances, audiences will have a role in the festival's selection process, helping determine which comedians progress to the next stage.

The opening 'selection' shows are free to attend, although registration is required.

The action continues on Saturday, September 12 with the BIG MIC, also at Bunkert from 5pm.

This stage features comedians selected during the opening rounds and represents the final selection before the festival's main event. Once again, the audience gets a say in who progresses.

Saturday night also brings the GONG SHOW - Elimination Stand-Up at Bunkert, while Friday evening features a ROAST BATTLE at Mixát, giving comedy fans another chance to see the festival's performers in a more competitive format.

The festival culminates on Sunday, September 13, with the MAIN EVENT at 6SZÍN, starting at 7pm.

For the international community in Hungary, the festival offers something a little different from the city's regular comedy nights: instead of focusing on a single comedian or local scene, it brings together performers representing the diversity of Europe's stand-up circuit.

With multiple venues and formats across three days, it is also an opportunity to sample different styles of live comedy while discovering performers who are less familiar to Budapest crowds.

Note:
While selection events are free with registration; the other events require tickets.
