The University of Miskolc (N Hungary) has inaugurated a supercomputer, purchased from European Union funding of 3.2 billion forints (EUR 10.3m), on Tuesday. The universities of Debrecen (E Hungary) and Szeged (S Hungary) already have supercomputers, with the first one inaugurated in Debrecen in 2011.

Nokia will open Hungary’s largest research and development centre within two years, one that will open “a new dimension” in the ICT sector, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said.
