Invitel, UPC Fined In Hungary For Violating Consumer Protection Rules
Hungary’s National Media and Info Communications Authority (NMHH) on Monday said it fined Invitel 80 million forints (EUR 260,000) and UPC 10 million forints for violating consumer protection rules. Invitel was fined for breaking rules on making unilateral changes to contracts. UPC was sanctioned for failing to correct general contract conditions that the NMHH earlier found to be in violation of rules.
