The Budapest Dance Festival is hosting international stars again this year. The two-week festival at the National Dance Theatre will bring together the best of international and national contemporary dance. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts the Hungarian economy returning to growth this year and taking its place in the vanguard of the EU’s growth performers next year, Mihály Varga, the finance minister, said on Tuesday, adding that the IMF prognosis echoes that of the latest European Commission projection.

On 27 April 2024, the Hungarian State Opera will present Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov with Kossuth Prize recipient Gábor Bretz in the title role. The new production staged by András Almási-Tóth is to be performed in the original (1869) version, for the first time in Hungary, under the baton of Alan Buribayev.
