Xpat Opinion: The Invisible Exhibition In Budapest
- 6 Feb 2013 8:00 AM
- entertainment
Having first heard about a museum for the blind in the UK over 20 years ago, I was intrigued by the Invisible Exhibition (Lathatatlan Kiallitas) that has been touring Hungary for some time, and is now hosted in Building B at the Millenaris Park. We first met Misi (our guide), who showed us how to write braille on a peg board and then on a typewriter-type machine... Braille letters are constructed ...

While New York Pizza is still tops in my book, there is a new kid on the block and they are getting a lot of things right. A Presto Pizza and Pasta opened its doors just a couple months ago at Hajos u. 13 just across from the Opera House and a few doors down from Treehugger Dan's.
Xpat Opinion: Hidden Budapest: Gasworks Part 2
- 18 Sep 2012 9:00 AM
- getting around
From the bike (or car) road to the right of Auchan (Jegtoro u.) just before the intersection with the Infopark, one can see buildings that, from afar, seem to be in the same style of those I discovered a few weeks ago further down the road as part of the old Obuda Gasworks Residential Estate.
