Hungarian Government Trusts IMF/EU Talks To Resume This Year

Hungary trusts that talks on financial aid will resume this year, the government's Chief Negotiator Mihály Varga told a conference on Tuesday. Minister Varga said the government was still pursuing a precautionary agreement with the international lenders.
He reaffirmed Hungary's commitment to keeping the budget deficit to below 3% of gross domestic product, saying the government must pursue a tight fiscal policy.
