Two-Thirds Of Laid Off Nokia Workers Placed In Jobs In Hungary
Two-thirds of the 1,149 Hungarians laid off at the Nokia plant in Komárom, in north-west Hungary, which will shut down at the end of this month, have already found work. Fully 68 companies advertising 3,700 openings had participated at a job fair for the laid off workers in September.

Microsoft, which recently acquired Nokia’s handset business, announced in July that it would shut down the plant in Komárom, near Hungary’s border with Slovakia.
