Although the annual Nutcracker Festival at the Hungarian State Opera cannot take place during lockdown, those walking past the Erkel Theatre can marvel at the festive lights, the 7.5 metre-tall Christmas tree, and life-size puppets from the ballet The Nutcracker.

Now open Wed to Fri (2 p.m.–6 p.m.), Sat (10 a.m.–2 p.m.) until 23 Dec.
