Traitorous Vitezy? Budapesters Let Down by Mayor's Planned Deal All About 'Power and Money', Says Szentkiralyi
Commenting on reports that the mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karacsony, plans to nominate David Vitezy and Ambrus Kiss as his deputies, Fidesz group leader in the Budapest assembly, Alexandra Szentkiralyi, on Wednesday called "the deal unworthy of the people of Budapest" as it solely spoke to "power and money".

For months they've been denying they'd divide the posts among themselves, but the fact is that [opposition Tisza Party leader] Peter Magyar made a pact with Karacsony and [Democratic Coalition leader Ferenc] Gyurcsany, and the traitorous Vitezy is joining the rainbow coalition," she wrote.

Vitezy, who ran against Karacsony in the election, had got votes to replace the incumbent mayor, "not to be his deputy", she added.

"We won't take part in this. Budapest deserves better!" the Fidesz politician wrote.
