Highlights of the 2026 edition
Three Chinese cultural delegations to visit Budapest, bringing many new entertainment and handicraft programs.
Two professional chefs arriving from the city of Chengdu to cook authentic Sichuan street foods for the Festival guests, including Sichuan-style noodle, chicken, mochi, and sweet soup.
Fire-spitting, “kungfu”long spout teapot, and other new folk entertainments to be shown for the first time ever in Hungary.
26 new hanfu outfits for the guests to cosplay for free.
Stage performance:
Day 1 - 7 February
10:00-12:00 Entertainment programs: lion dance, dragon dance, gala show by Fujian provencial delegation (circus, kungfu, folk dance, shadow puppetry, Chinese instruments, etc)
14:00-15:00 Gala show
Day 2 - 8 February
10:00-12:00 Entertainment programs: lion dance, dragon dance, Sichuan opera, Chinese drum, folk dances, qipao, etc
14:00-14:30 Taichi and Qigong show and workshop
14:30-15:00 Fire-spitting, face-changing, “kungfu”long spout teapot, Chinese R&B, etc.

10:00-16:00 Chinese calligraphy, painting
10:00-16:00 Traditional Chinese medicine,
10:00-16:00 Hanfu(traditional Chinese clothing) cosplay
Cultural tents (7-8 February)

10:00-16:00 Chinese horoscope(zodiac): the 12 animals

If you share the event to your own social media, or you tag at least two of your friends in the comment below, both you and your friends can get a free gift at the information desk during the event time (10:00-16:00, 7-8 February 2026)
Free admission. But tea tasting and some DIY programs charge basic fees for the tea cup and materials.
Free parking in the big parking lot next to the venue, specially reserved for the event guests. Guests can get access into the courtyard directly from the parking lot. For GPS navigation please use the entrance address “Monori u. 5”.
Chinatown is easily accessible via Budapest public transport(3; 28; 62; 75; 95) or by train(Kőbánya Alsó Vasútállomás) or by bike (cycling lane along kőbányai út). The nearest stations are Mázsa utca, Mázsa tér, Kőbánya alsó vasútállomás.
