The 14th Budapest Central European Fashion Week will be held at Millenáris in Buda between 26 August - 3 September, and will focus on building bridges between the region’s countries and to open doors to international markets for designers.
The event will showcase works by nearly 100 designers, and over 30 young designers are participating, who will be put in the spotlight.
Sustainability will be another focus point of the event, and of the agency’s 2025 fall-winter season, HFDA said.
The Millenáris Dance Theatre will host talks, panel discussions and workshops in the framework of the long-time popular fixture Fashion Hub. Events will also be held at other venues in Budapest and county seats, the statement said.
Occurring twice yearly, this event also serves to fostering trade relations and international visibility. In line with its strategy, the goal of BCEFW is to act as a diving board for prominent brands and emerging talents from Hungary and beyond, amplifying their international reach.
The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency says it is, "Dedicated to delivering a premier event for regional and Hungarian designers, to our valued guests and those interested in fashion, uniting creative minds and professionals.
This effort aims to propel Budapest onto the global fashion stage, enhancing its appeal to visitors as a prominent fashion capital of the region".
Sustainability in Focus at Budapest Central European Fashion Week This Time
A new category is debuting at this edition of Budapest Central European Fashion Week to promote environmentally-friendly practices, and the Hungarian Fashion and Design Agency (HFDA) is launching a Conscious Fashion Initiative over the weekend of the event.
The guiding principles of that initiative are diversity and equality, sustainability in design, fair and safe working conditions, consumer engagement, transparency and education.
