Gránit Guru: AI Agent Now Used by Hungarian Bank for Loan Processing

Gránit Bank has launched a new AI Agent-supported mortgage application process designed to shorten disbursement times and increase the efficiency of loan administration, the bank said in a statement.
In this system, presented by CEO Éva Hegedűs at a conference last year, documentation submitted by mortgage loan applicants is evaluated by an AI Agent along with a bank employee.
The virtual assistant, dubbed Gránit Guru, is designed to automate complex banking workflows and offer round-the-clock personalised support to clients.
According to the bank, the AI-based system not only improves customer service but also supports back office operations.
It is expected to automate 80-90% of related banking workflows, roughly double the 30-40% achieved through earlier digitalisation efforts.
