Rosegarden Funeral Party, Lone Assembly, A38 Ship Budapest, 3 September
Lone Assembly is a Swiss quartet blending new wave, romantic synthpop, and dark, melancholic post-punk. The lineup — Raphaël Bressler (vocals, keyboards), Glenn Le Meur (guitar), Jim Bodeman (bass), and Romain Segu (drums) — delivered the striking debut EP "That Never Happened” (2024), which unravels themes of unresolved grief across five tracks that marry the haunting allure of the '80s with precision-crafted modern production.

They now open a new chapter with “The Pain Keeper”: the massive sounding piece sees the band explore themes of rejection, emotional disconnection and inner insecurity, as well as highlights the Swiss band's ability to transform their cold-wave influences and other sounds from the English scene into huge bangers with indie-rock leanings.

Their gothic-inspired visuals, steeped in elegance and intent, amplify their aesthetic, making every detail a statement.

For fans of brooding, retro-inspired music with a contemporary edge, Lone Assembly offers something truly memorable.

Rosegarden Funeral Party has been making their mark on the international post-punk/goth scene since the release of their inaugural EP, the Chopping Block, in 2018. Since then, the band has released another EP, At the Stake (2020), and three full length albums, Martyr (2019), In the Wake of Fire (2021), and From the Ashes (2024).

The band has garnered critical acclaim from Post-Punk.com, LA Weekly, SF Sonic, Dallas Observer, and more.

Rosegarden Funeral Party blends traditional gothic sonic stylizing with modern pop sensibility that supports emotionally evocative and relatable lyrics about heartbreak and healing.

The band heavily focuses on spreading a message of kindness and loving oneself and others. Rosegarden Funeral Party’s music and message have earned them a devoted fanbase that continues to grow.
