An upturn began last year, when 8,700 new homes were sold, while a similar number of unsold units remain available in projects currently on the market, a 43% increase from the previous year.
Average prices of new homes to be completed this year in the city are expected to slightly exceed Ft 1.7 million per square metre, rising to Ft 1.8 million a year later.
Prices varied widely by district, typically ranging from Ft 1 million to Ft 4 million per square metre.
OTP Jelzálogbank said the supply of new homes in the capital could reach a record level.
The lender expects the completion of 7,900 new homes in 2027.
