Qatar Airways Restarts Doha–Budapest Flights
Qatar has resumed its direct passenger service between Budapest and Doha, restoring one of the capital's key long-haul air connections after a months-long interruption.

The route, which links Budapest with Qatar's main hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha, reopened on 17 June.

Initially operating four times a week, the airline plans to gradually increase frequencies as demand recovers.

The return of the service is significant for both business and leisure travellers. Doha serves as a major gateway to destinations across Asia, Australia, Africa and the Middle East, offering convenient onward connections to cities including Bangkok, Bali, Sydney, and Cape Town.

The suspension was part of wider disruptions affecting Qatar Airways' network amid regional tensions and temporary airspace restrictions in the Gulf.

The airline has now restored operations on numerous international routes, including Budapest.

For Hungary's tourism sector, the resumption strengthens the country's international connectivity and provides visitors from around the world with easier access to Budapest.

Also, it offers expats a wider range of travel options to the East without the need to connect through other European hubs.
