The Hey, June! programme series is as old as Müpa Budapest itself. It was first held in 2005, and has taken place at the end of the academic year ever since, ushering in the holidays and the festival season as an in-house mini-festival that opens the door to every aspect of this new beginning, welcoming the summer and giving us good reason to celebrate.

Preliminary data show that 6,352 children were born and 10,096 people died in April 2023, with the number of live births down 2.7% from the same period a year earlier, while deaths decreased by 10%, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.

Pentecost is a public holiday in Hungary, and so shops will be closed on Sunday and Monday, 28 & 29 May. It's a Christian holiday commemorating the descent of the Holy Ghost upon the disciples of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament of the Bible. It is also known as Whit Sunday.

It was on display until 16 July. The 170th anniversary of Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka’s birth will be celebrated with an exhibition jointly staged by the Museum of Fine Arts–Hungarian National Gallery and the Janus Pannonius Museum of Pécs.
