A young girl who was born deaf has now perfect hearing thanks to a revolutionary operation performed at the University of Pécs Clinical Centre (PTE KK) in southern Hungary, the university said.

"Steven E. Kuhn was born on the 30th of May 1967 in Pennsylvania, USA. When he was 19 he joined the U.S. Army and was sent to Germany for his first assignment where he then spent the next 8 years. In 1990, at the beginning of the Gulf War, he was sent to Iraq with the legendary 8th Cavalry, fought on the front and returned with the Bronze Star Medal for his actions in combat.
