Xpats are welcome at this fun filled day reflecting the community that makes up the school. This annual festival is entirely organized and carried out by the Parent School Association. As always, proceeds from the event go to support the various service learning and community projects of our students.
Busó Carnival, Mohács, 4 - 9 February 2016

From the Island of Mohács the „devils” still come on boats, according to the legend. Those arriving by boats walk to Kóló Square to join the rest, and then all proceed through the streets, mixing in with the audience along the way.

I have the distinct feeling that something is afoot in Hungary, something the self-satisfied Orbán government is not prepared for. I see the beginnings of a movement that may well overcome the current apathy and resignation of Hungarian society and produce active resistance to the Orbán regime.

The Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum and Research Centre in Vörösmarty utca 35, District 6, opened in September 1986 in the Old Academy of Music building, previously used from late 1875 until mid-1907 for music teaching. Early photographs show that there were originally two buildings on the site at the time of inauguration but one building has since been demolished.

Out of 105,000 applicants, some 72,000 students have met the entry criteria of colleges and universities and will start their studies in September, the state secretary in charge of higher education announced. The State Secretary for higher education has announced that contrary to earlier plans, degrees in international relations and communications will not be abolished, but rather restructured according to the recommendations of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference.
