This year’s MasterCard Balaton Sound attracted the same record number of visitors as it did last year. A total of 145 000 fans from almost 60 countries came together to celebrate at the sunny shores of Lake Balaton. The festival even had a sold-out day on Saturday, when more than 35 000 visitors enjoyed Faithless and Afrojack.

The Hungarian health authority ÁNTSZ has issued a heat alert for the weekend, the authority told MTI. From midnight on Saturday a third degree alert— the highest—will be in place for the following five days, with daily mean temperatures expected to exceed 27 C. in the country. The weather services forecast daily highs of 36, 37 and 38 C. from Monday to Wednesday.

Hungary has managed to successfully confront the financial crisis the repercussions of which Greece is suffering from even today, the Hungarian economy minister said at the business forum organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary.
