Bremer and Alalousi are photographers of different generations. They are united by a passion for photography that clearly manifests in their work. Borderline is a dialogue that tells how the artists have processed the same phenomenon in their own personal style.
Stefan Bremer (1953) is a hallmark of Finnish photography whose work has been characterised by a strong interest in people from the start. He has had over 200 solo exhibitions and his works can be found both in Finnish and international museums and private collections.
Ahmed Hasan Nadhim Alalousi (1992) is an Iraqi-born photographer who was given asylum in Finland in 2016. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and art projects both in Finland and other countries.
The Borderline exhibition has toured Finland and has visited Germany. The Budapest edition of Borderline is curated by Juha-Heikki Tihinen, PhD, associate of the Pro Artibus Foundation. Borderline is produced by FinnAgora in cooperation with the Pro Artibus Foundation.
