UPC Magyarország Subscriber Numbers Climb Over 2.1m
UPC Magyarország, which offers telecommunications, internet and television services, said its subscriber numbers rose over 2.1 million in the second quarter.
Digital and analogue TV subscriptions rose by 14,600 to 687,700 in the twelve months to the end of June.
Broadband internet subscriptions were up 35,100 at 680,300, landline subscriptions climbed 56,900 to 99,000 and mobile subscriptions rose 24,300 close to 653,000.
The UK’s Vodafone agreed to acquire UPC from US telco Liberty Global in the spring.
It also agreed to acquire Liberty Global’s businesses in Germany, Romania and the Czech Republic.
