MOL now operates 71 charging stations, of which six are superchargers capable of recharging a car in 30 minutes.
Mobile app MOL Plugee has accumulated 5,000 clients since its launch last year.
MOL is part of a consortium that is building an e-car charger network in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Romania with the help of funding from the EU’s “Next-e” scheme.
The development projects will not be stopped after the completion of the Next-e programme, and, according to plans, 10% or some 200 MOL filling stations will have electric car chargers by the end of 2021, said the head of MOL’s alternative fuels division Róbert Tóth-Fekete.
