Foreign Minister ‘Insulted’ By Hungarian Embassy in The Hague Being Bathed in Rainbow
The Hungarian embassy in The Hague was illuminated in the colours of the rainbow for an hour at the weekend, in an act by Amnesty International that Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said was supported by the Dutch authorities.

“This goes against international law and diplomatic practice entirely,” he said in a recording posted on Facebook.

He said Dutch authorities had been asked to prevent it happening, but “they did not do that, and in fact supported and assisted this kind of act”.

“This is an unprecedented insult, an unprecedented incident the likes of which I cannot recall in world politics in recent years,” Szijjártó declared.

A huge rainbow flag was draped on the fence around the embassy on Friday. Police removed it after an hour.
