Home Rents Rising Slowly in Hungary
Home rents increased by 0.9% from September to October, while the increase was 0.3% in Budapest, the Central Statistics Office reports.

Compared to a year earlier, rents went up by 5.7% overall and by 3.9% in Budapest.

Home rents declined during 2020 but started to grow again from February this year, Portfolio observes.

The average home rent was Ft 150,000 per month in Budapest in October, according to property agency Ingatlan.com.

In the Fifth District, the most expensive area, the average rent was over Ft 200,000 and in the city’s cheapest District, the 16th, it was Ft 125,000.

Outside Budapest, the highest average rents were in Veszprém at Ft 130,000, followed by Székesfehérvár at Ft 125,000 and Debrecen at Ft 120,000.
