Better Train Services to Balaton Coming This Summer
From May 16, a month prior to the main summer vacation period, MÁV-Start will increase the number of trains to Lake Balaton, and will provide a higher quality service as a result of improved rolling stock, government spokeswoman Alexandra Szentkirályi, told a press conference at Déli railway station. 

MÁV chairman and CEO Róbert Homolya said that with trains leaving every half an hour, it will be very easy to reach popular resorts at the lake, such as Balatonfüred, Siófok and Fonyód.

In addition, he said the quality of services is also improving, such as the inclusion of dining cars on InterCity trains.
