Confidence Falls in Hungarian Job Market - "Difficult to Find a New Role"
Hungarian employees have become significantly more pessimistic about job mobility in the domestic labor market, with a growing number believing it would be difficult or very difficult to find a new role matching their qualifications if they lost their current job.

According to a joint survey by BNP Paribas Cardif Insurance and Median, published recently, the research also showed a slight decline in the proportion of respondents who feel secure in their current positions within their companies.

The BNP Paribas Cardif Labor Market Stability Index dropped to 74 points in the fourth quarter of 2025, down two points from the same period in 2024.

The decline was primarily driven by a sharp drop in the sub-index measuring expectations about finding a new job suited to one’s qualifications, which fell from 65 to 60 points year-on-year, according to the survey.
