Now Anne Hathaway, who plays the other lead, has been photographed outside Stifler Pool billiards hall on Erzsébet körút.

She's shooting right at the corner of Erzsébet körút and Wesselényi utca in Erzsébetváros, the heart of the action, according to the Színes Erzsébetváros Facebook page, based on a photo sent in by a reader.

What’s the film about?

Alone at Dawn is set during the Afghanistan war and recounts the Battle of Takur Ghar on March 4, 2002, where US Air Force combat controller John Chapman sacrificed himself to save 23 fellow troops. It’s adapted from the 2019 book of the same name by Dan Schilling and Lori Longfritz.

Adam Driver plays Chapman, with Anne Hathaway in a key supporting role.

A statement from Mid Atlantic Productions noted that shooting is taking place in Budapest and around Székesfehérvár, specifically in the Szár-hegy quarry, which stands in perfectly for the war-torn settings. Locals should brace for noise — expect explosions, machine-gun fire, and occasional road closures during production.
