Prank Sends Dozens to Hospital in Hungary - Police Investigating
Nearly 40 people fell ill Monday at Deák Ferenc Technical College in Zalaegerszeg as a result of a prank involving a chemical-filled jar left on a staircase.

Some people experienced headaches and nausea and were taken to hospital for observation, though none were in serious condition.

Mayor Balaicz Zoltán said authorities, including the police and disaster management, confirmed that a student had probably endangered others.

The jar contained a substance that reacts with moisture, causing the illnesses.

Police began an investigation, treating the incident as endangerment rather than a simple prank.
