Compensation Promised to Vodafone Clients for Service Outage on First Work Day
Vodafone customers affected by the service outage on January 2 could receive a Ft 1,000 reduction in their next bill as compensation, the mobile operator said.

On the first working day of the new year last Tuesday, Vodafone and Magyar Telekom customers experienced problems accessing the internet, cable television and mobile communication services for most of the day.

In addition, several websites of pro-government media giant Mediaworks were inaccessible.

The mobile operators at the time said the service disruption was due to a power outage.

Vodafone confirmed on Friday that the restoration of the cloud and data infrastructure (Dataplex) it rents from Magyar Telekom took nearly 24 hours.

Clients will be informed of compensation plans.
