Sales of New Homes in Budapest Reach Ten-Year Record

Duna House said the market was supported by investors and the launch of a subsidised lending scheme for first-time home buyers. It also highlighted a number of projects at brownfield sites eligible for a preferential 5pc VAT rate.
Prices for new homes in Budapest averaged HUF 1.8m/sqm in the fourth quarter, while climbing as high as HUF 3m/sqm in the centrally-located District VI.
