Most Trusted Hungarian Language News Sources Revealed in New Survey
RTL News and the weekly HVG are considered the most reliable sources of news by Hungarians, according to a survey by the Reuters Institute.

RTL tops the list, as last year, with 49% of respondents to a recent survey saying that they trust in it, leaving HVG in second place, as in 2025, trusted by 44% of respondents.

Telex is considered a reliable news source by 41% of news consumers, while 38% spoke in the same vein about websites 24.hu and 444.hu.

The survey revealed that, no matter how Fidesz pushed its messages on a number of surfaces, Hungarians do not trust in propaganda media. Only 21% of the readers consider TV2, Origo and the state media reliable, while only 16% opted for the tabloid Blikk.
