Zwack Loses Diageo Distribution in Hungary - New Brands Planned

Zwack Unicum has lost the tender to distribute Diageo products in Hungary and will stop selling the international drinks group’s brands from January 1, 2027, the distiller announced on Wednesday.
The mandates of Diageo’s two representatives on Zwack’s board of directors and supervisory board will expire on December 31.
Diageo products currently account for about 20% of Zwack’s net sales.
The loss is expected to reduce Zwack’s profits by 15% from the 2027-28 fiscal year, although the company plans to offset the impact by adding new brands to its portfolio.
The termination will have no material effect on the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2027.
