Hungary’s PM Orbán: Border Fence To Be Completed By Aug 31

The construction of the 175-kilometre fence along Hungary’s border with Serbia will be completed by August 31, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on the closing day of the summer university. He said experience has shown that such border closures result in a roughly 85% decrease in the number of illegal border crossers, adding that he expects the fence to bring about “a large-scale improvement”.
