In 2014 the Annual Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, 9 November. The traditional service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Commonwealth War Cemetery of Solymár at 10:55. Everybody is welcome to attend the ecumenical service. Those who do are kindly requested to arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:45 please. The service lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Britannica International School has appointed Richard Vaughan as the new Principal of Britannica International School to succeed Mr Ken Baines who will retire at the end of next month, July 2014. Mr Vaughan will move to Budapest with his wife and two children this Summer.

Britannica International School hosted the prestigious International Schools' Poetry Competition at its Auditorium on Friday 21 March. Students represented 5 educational institutions from Budapest including the British International School, the American International School, SEK, International Christian School and the host school, Britannnica International School.

The Collection of Egyptian Art, counting nearly 4000 items, is one of the richest in its kind in Central Europe. It is unique among the other collections at the Museum of Fine Arts in that it holds objects which result from Hungarian excavation projects.
