Hungarian Film Director Miklós Jancsó Dies

Multi-award winning Hungarian film director and screenwriter Miklós Jancsó, considered one of the film greats of the 1960s and 1970s, has died at the age of 92. Jancsó won best director award at the 1972 Cannes film festival for Red Psalm, and, in 1979, Cannes bestowed on him a lifetime achievement award.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán delivered his opening speech in front of the 14th General Assembly and stated that the Hungarian Government considers it its moral obligation to promote "zero tolerance" against anti-Semitism.
