The new land bill will outlaw the sale of farmland to foreigners, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told the youth section of farmers group Magosz in Cegléd last Saturday. The bill, submitted to Parliament on July 12, will “protect farm land from speculators and bankers” and limit large estates. It will also regain “land stolen through pocket contracts,” he said.

But he was able in that time to open the Budapest Cyber Conference, have meetings with PM Orban and Foreign Minister Martonyi, and do a TV interview and a press conference. An impressive pace. With events like Samhainfest it is practically impossible to complain about the metal scene in Budapest. While assembling nine bands, Samhainfest brought together fans from all over Hungary, but the neighboring countries, too. The festival also meant one of the biggest gatherings of Hungarian folk metal bands, since more than half of them don't usually reside in Budapest.
