Lucky Foreign Tourist Rescued After Days Lost in Hungary's Bük Hills
An Argentinian tourist was saved from near-freezing conditions in the Bükk hills on Saturday after being discovered by Attila Simon Juhász, the mayor of Felsőtárkány, and his wife during their morning run.

Hearing faint cries for help in English, the couple found a shivering, disoriented man wrapped in a blanket, unable to move due to an injured leg.

The tourist had reportedly been lost for days, surviving by lighting small fires and drinking melted snow.

The mayor and his wife telephoned for help despite poor reception, and eventually summoned forestry staff to assist in transporting the man down the hill by jeep.

The tourist was later taken to a hospital for emergency treatment.
