At the time, the female artist who came in second on the BBC Sound of list, released her debut album entitled The Family Jewels. This was followed by her second album, the far more commercial Electra Heart, which portrayed a number of various female figures.

Hungarian public television launched a Chinese-language news programme on Monday, the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) said on its Facebook page. The daily programme can be seen on news channel M1, after the broadcast of a Russian-language news programme.

The first Budapest Circus Festival was held 20 years ago, in 1996 and as a result of the notion and casting of the professionals of the Hungarian Circus And Variety Non-profit Ltd. (MACIVA) it soon proved to be equal with the great festivals of the circus world: in addition to Monte Carlo, Latina and Moscow also Budapest has become an important meeting place for the circus art.

Following on from The Magic Flute and Orpheus and Eurydice, the Yvette Bozsik Company once again adapts a large-scale opera for the dance stage: on this occasion, it presents Carl Orff's 1949 musical setting of Sophocles' tragedy Antigone. In the drama that serves as the basis for the work, Antigone's brothers die by each other's hand.
