During the debate on the agenda Mayor István Tarlós said there are moments, when a nation has to show that it is ready for an alliance and cooperation.

Parliament supported Budapest’s bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics on Monday with the support of governing party and Jobbik politicians, with the exception of Fidesz MP János Bencsik. Under the resolution, an Olympic bid committee will be set up with 24 members, all designated by the Speaker of the House.
