Electronic music star performers Paul Kalkbrenner, fellow German DJ Purple Disco Machine, and Austrian producer duo Kruder & Dorfmeister will all give concerts on Strand's zero day, in connection with the biggest fireworks display on Lake Balaton, the organizers announced.

As they wrote, Kalkbrenner, known from the film Berlin Calling, previously conquered the audience at Balaton Sound in Zamárdi.

The indispensable figure of the disco and house genres, Purple Disco Machine (Tino Piontek), has been present in the world's hottest clubs and festivals with a whole series of unique soundscape hits for quite some time. The Viennese duo Kruder & Dorfmeister recently gave a sold-out concert at the Müpa.

The announcement mentioned that Zamárdi has been considered the capital of Balaton festivals for almost two decades. The Strand Festival, which started in 2013, closes the summer every year as a highlight event of MOL Nagyon Balaton.

The event attracts tens of thousands of tourists to the region. In addition to the musical offering, the festival provides other interesting programs, not least evoking the magical world of the circus.

On the three main stages and dozens of other venues, among others, Dzsúdló, Parno Graszt, Majka, Halott Pénz, Pogány Induló, Manuel, Valmar, Beton.Hofi, T.Danny, Bagossy Brothers Company, Carson Coma and Krúbi will take the stage.

LL Junior will be coming with a live show and this year, for the first time, Desh, who has achieved success as a co-writer of Azahriah in recent years, will be among the headliners.

The Strand Festival music program is complete

The organizers of the Strand Festival have announced the full music program. The event, which will be expanded to four days this year, will take place on the Zamárdi free beach from August 20 to 23.

In addition to the most popular Hungarian performers, Paul Kalkbrenner, Purple Disco Machine, and Kruder & Dorfmeister will also take the stage, and Beton.Hofi will be given a prominent role, the organizers told MTI on Thursday.

The festival will focus the audience's attention on five young productions as part of the Strand Fan program, and in connection with the Year of Hungarian Songwriting, well-known performers from past decades will also take to the stage at the festival, where this year the main venue will be the Balaton Grand Stage.

On the opening day, August 20, Paul Kalkbrenner, the duo Kruder & Dorfmeister and Purple Disco Machine will perform on the main stage, and the audience will be able to take possession of the free beach in Zamárdi in the early afternoon.

Beton.Hofi will be the main act at the Strand Festival this year: he will be the featured performer on the Balaton Main Stage on Friday evening, August 22. Halott Pénz, Majka, Desh, Dzsúdló and the Bagossy Brothers Company will also be performing there during the festival.

Representing the new generation, ValMar and T. Danny will present their production, Necc Party will invite those looking to party to the square in front of the main stage, but Manuel, Bruno X Spacc, KKevin and Pumped Gabo will also be here.

Pogány Induló will perform at the Strand both with its live show and as a guest of Parno Graszt. The international field has been joined by the Italian DJ-producer duo, Gioli & Assia, and Apashe will arrive in Zamárdi, at the Dreher Stage, with an orchestra.

In connection with the Year of Hungarian Songwriting, special attention will be given to those artists and productions whose songs have inspired generations at Strand this year. After the double sold-out arena concerts, Geszti Sixty, Geszti Péter's birthday show, will be staged again on the Sláger FM stage on August 20th.

After numerous beach concerts, Margaret Island will bid farewell to its audience here as well, and legends including Neoton Família, Róbert Szikora and R-Go, the Abba Tribute Show, and Ganxsta Zolee and Kartel, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary, will take to the stage.

A new program this year is Strand Fan: the designation applies to performers whom the organizers would like to draw the audience's attention to. This year's Strand Fan participants are: Lil Frakk, Sisi, Co Lee, cserihanna and Kolibri. The winner of Megasztár 2024, Máté Gudics, will also perform in Zamárdi.

On the Coca-Cola Stage, which is being built on the square in front of the main stage, parties will start after the concerts, where up to ten thousand people can have a good time until dawn. Such as Tomi Fluor's show "Zúzunk az éjszában" or the production prepared for this occasion by K-osz Disco.

On the Rádió1 stage, local DJs will provide the music for four days, including Lili Regán, Yamina, Viktória Metzker, the DJs of Disco's Hitt (Attila Bárány, Dj Junior, Hamvai PG), as well as Cooky, Lotfi Begi, Jauri, StadiumX.
