Each year the New Orleans Swingfestival manages to serve up new and innovative performances and 2017, which incidentally marks the 12th year the festival brings lovers of this still widely popular genre to Müpa Budapest, is no different. From the organisers: The best Hungarian jazz and funk musicians will perform concerts in downtown of Székesfehérvár from 7 to 9 August. Random Trip, Veronica Harcsa, United Experience, Babos-László-Tátrai Trio and Mike Gotthard Electric Shock will be playing this year at Alba Regia Festival.

'Ördögkatlan' the annual multi-cultural event held in four small villages in the beautiful Villany Wine region, kicks-off on Tuesday. International and Hungarian performers unite with locals, expats and tourists for a five-day celebration of "humanity, diversity and quality, enlisting all genres - from mainstream to marginal to experimental".

From the organisers: One afternoon in the summer of 2002, I was drinking wine with one of my musician friends in a garden in Veszprém. He told me that he had seen Pavarotti in Austria, performing in a cathedral which had room for about a thousand people.
He was surprised, that the Maestro gave a concert in such a small place.
