Vijay Iyer has been described by The New Yorker as one of “today’s most important pianists”, adding that he is “extravagantly gifted and brilliantly eclectic”. In 2010 the American Jazz Journalists Association (JJA) voted him Musician of the Year, and in the same year his triple album Historicity received a Grammy nomination.

Four high profile improvisers of the Dutch jazz and improv scene have teamed up and formed ESTAFEST. In this unusual line up, these musicians combine their distinctive instrumental skills and sound, wrapped up in brilliant short pieces, which are shaped on stage.
