Now that a year has passed since the general election in Hungary, it is clear that the government has failed, László Botka, head of the national board of the opposition Socialist Party (MSZP), said. It commemorates the Revolution of 1956, when Hungarians rose up against the Soviet ruled communist system and also the ‘Day of the Republic’, as in 1989 Hungary was declared a republic. On October 22nd and 23rd there are several programs held throughout Hungary.
