The primary message of the World Summit’s slogan “Water connects” is that water, which knows no borders, urges us to develop new kinds of cooperation; it connects water management, industry, agriculture, healthcare and education, as well as countries, regions, generations and cultures, and it is also the ‘source’ of achieving all the sustainability targets with a key impact on all our futures.
Marcel Wanders Design Award 2016 Goes To A Fashion Design Collection From MOME

On 4th November, the internationally famous Dutch designer, Marcel Wanders personally handed over the Award he founded to the graduates of MOME’s (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest) Design Institute. On the basis of his master diploma project, a textile and fashion design graduate, Richard Marton received the main award that also comes with a 1,500 Euro prize.

It is the fifth year that the Open Studios initiative of Budapest Design Week organised between 27th of September and 6th of October 2013 offers an opportunity to meet designers in person, and to learn about the work of studios and workshops.

Péter János Zwack, born in Budapest on 21 May 1927, passed away on 5 August 2012 in Italy. According to Italian papers, he was at Venturina thermal bath near Livorno where he suddenly felt ill, collapsed, and despite all efforts they could not save his life.
