EVA AIR Introduces Its New Premium Economy Class On Direct Flights from Vienna to Taipei
From 3 November 2025, EVA AIR passengers are able to enjoy a completely new experience on direct flights between Vienna and Taipei: the airline's Boeing 787-9 aircraft has a new Premium Economy cabin, which combines comfort, space and modern on-board services as the perfect transition between Economy and Business Class.

When designing the new cabin, the airline aimed to make long flights relaxing and enjoyable, while every detail caters to the needs of modern travellers.

EVA AIR is a pioneer in Premium Economy classes: in 1992, it was the first to introduce Premium Economy, then known as Evergreen Deluxe Class, thus opening up a new dimension in on-board services for long-haul flights.

Continuing the airline's tradition, it introduced its fourth-generation Premium Economy seats on the Taipei-Jakarta route in the spring of 2025, and now they are also available on the Vienna-Taipei flight.

Passenger feedback has been taken into account in the design of the new cabin: more legroom, more comfortable reclining seats, customizable entertainment systems, and extra storage options ensure that every journey becomes an experience.

The Premium Economy cabin offers 28 ergonomic seats of an industry-leading 42-inch seat pitch (107 cm), in a 2-3-2 arrangement, with a cradle-motion recline of 20 cm, allowing the seat cushion to slide forward and up at the same time.

Each seat has a 40 cm high-resolution widescreen monitor, a taskbar and a multifunction entertainment system. The seats are equipped with 110 V and USB ports to ensure steady use of laptops, smartphones and other electronic devices on board.

The seats next to the aisle are wheelchair accessible, and the crew pays special attention to passengers with special needs, thus underlining the airline's caring service philosophy.
