The distribution of fake cosmetics, clothes, shoes, records, alcoholic beverages and medications cause annual losses of an estimated 207 billion forints (691.5m euros) to the Hungarian economy, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) reported. EUIPO said that the amount accounted for 12.2% of the total revenue of those sectors.

Retail sales in Hungary climbed 2.6 percent in October from the same month a year earlier, preliminary data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Monday show. Retail sales rose by an annual 2.6 percent when adjusted for calendar year effects.

The list of banned psychoactive drugs has been expanded with a 13 new items. Electronic cigarettes were grouped under ordinary cigarette regulations. As a result only licensed tobacco shops, the so-called kiosks, may sell them in the future. The law on air traffic was also modified authorising the police to levy fines for the illegal use of drones.
