Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
The Day’s theme for 2016 is “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.”

The biggest equestrian festival in Hungary is arranged every year in Budapest at the majestic Heroes Square. The first National Gallop was held in 2008, and since then became a very popular event filled with Hungarian culture, featuring action filled horse races.

Hungarian unit of UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund, recently launched a video campaign asking Hungarians to donate 1 per cent of their personal income tax to support measures against family violence and child abuse in Hungary. The videos used triggered harsh reactions, saying they are “extremist”, “misleading”, “harmful”, “anti-father”, and “anti-family”.

Below you can see the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union produced advocacy film, made together with SZEXE (Association of Hungarian Sex Workers), in which they give an overview of the local sex trade. In this documentary called 'WHERE IS THE JUSTICE? - Sex Work in Hungary' they attempt to come up with recommendations for addressing related problems for prostitutes.

From the Island of Mohács the „devils” still come on boats, according to the legend. Those arriving by boats walk to Kóló Square to join the rest, and then all proceed through the streets, mixing in with the audience along the way.
